Hey everyone! I hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your summer! It has been crazy around here as school started and I got back into the groove of teaching. For those of you who don't know, this is my second year teaching second grade in eastern Oregon and I really love what I do. Although, I'll be the first to admit that TEACHING IS FREAKING HARD. Anyone who teaches or spends a lot of time with kids could probably agree that, while it's very difficult at times, it's an extremely rewarding experience. Every day I'm working hard to find new ways to have FUN while learning difficult content. I have so many things that I do in my classroom that I absolutely LOVE. Specifically, I have different methods for encouraging students to be successful, including getting to ring a bell, I use Seesaw a LOT because it's an app that allows students to express their creativity while demonstrating their knowledge, I also have different games that we play, such as using a comprehension beach ball to answer questions about the text, I could go on and on. And maybe I will make separate posts about a few of those tips and tricks. I hope you enjoyed this little update. I really wanted to just let you know what's going on and why I've been absent. As I've mentioned before, I can't guarantee regular posts, but I will do my best to update you all once in a while to let you know what's going on in my life. Please leave a comment below telling me how your fall is going and what your favorite fall activity is. Mine is going to the pumpkin patch! I love you all and will talk to you soon.

Y’all. It has been a HOT minute since I’ve posted on here (typical, I know). So allow me to fill you in.
• I finished my first year of teaching and boy what a year it was. I absolutely love what I do, but let me tell you, teaching is freaking hard! I had my fair share of challenges with behaviors while trying to get to know a new curriculum, all while trying to be an outstanding teacher. I must say though, teaching has many perks. I get weekends off (kind of, I still tend to take work home 😬), I get time to relax during the summer, and I get to pretend I’m an 8 year old and claim I’m just “vibin with my students”. It’s pretty great.
• As far as makeup goes, I have been obsessed with a few new products, the two favorites being Eyeko London Lash Alert Mascara, and Colourpop Cosmetics Supershock Highlighter in Flexitarian.
• I’ve been traveling like crazy this summer and I’m basically always on the go. On Monday I’ll be taking off for Disneyland and I’m STOKED. Again, I’m 8 at heart. I’m also going to be going to Lake Tahoe later this month, followed by a trip to Canada which I’m SO excited about.
So that’s basically where I’m at these days. However, I wanted to let y’all know that my blog is going to be changing slightly. As much as I still love makeup and fashion, it’s not my life like it was when I started this blog. These days I’m totally focused on my career and the happiness that being a teacher brings me. So, I’m going to be altering my blog to become my teacher blog where I talk about all things teaching, classroom, and FUN. I know this may not be what everyone wants, but I just gotta follow my heart, ya dig? Anywho, hope y’all are doing well! Please leave comments below with any suggestions for things you’d like to see and I will talk to you beautiful people later.

It's Summer Time and The Feeling's Fine
Hi beauties! I hope you're all thoroughly enjoying your summers, I know I am. I decided to get out of my usual habits for the summer and experience new things. So, I'm in Georgia for the whole summer! It has been so much fun so far and I'm definitely looking forward to my remaining time here. As most of you probably know, Georgia gets very hot and humid during the summer. I don't know about you, but my hair is not a fan of humidity. To keep my frizziness at bay, I've been using the Marvelous Oil Frizz Defy by Garnier Fructis. This stuff is amazing. I only need one pump when I get out of the shower. I apply the bulk of it to my ends and whatever is remaining I will run through my roots to tame any frizz that may be in that area. Using this small of an amount does not make my hair greasy (I've had that problem with moroccan and argan oils) and it makes my hair super shiny and silky smooth. If you guys have tried this leave me a comment letting me know that you think. I really hope you al have an amazing summer, and if you're taking summer classes, I feel your pain! Love you all and I'll talk to you later!

Life Updates
Hello loves. You may be asking yourselves, "where has she been?". To put it simply, I suck at blogging and I'm sorry. I always say I'm going to get better about it then I forget and life gets in the way. I would like to blame it on school or the fact that I've been very sick for the past 2 months, but I did have time and I just neglected my blog entirely. That being said, I wanted to talk about something not so beauty related, which is what I've been doing throughout this past term. As you may or may not know, my goal for the future is to become a kindergarten teacher. To prepare myself for that and get some experience, I did a practicum (which is basically a fancy word for getting credits to volunteer in a classroom) in a kindergarten classroom. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life. I spent almost 100 hours with these kids throughout a 7-week period and it was awesome. So...yeah, that's what I've been up to. Please please PLEASE, let me know what you would like me to post about in the future and I'll talk to you later.

Fashion Trend: Ripped Jeans
Hey everyone! With summer quickly approaching and spring in full swing, I thought I would share my staple clothing item for this season: ripped jeans, and how I like to style them. In Oregon, it stays in the upper 50's to 60's most of the time, so since it's not particularly warm, jeans are a must have item. My favorite pair right now are these ones from American Eagle Outfitters.
I personally like to cuff mine and pair them with a pair of converse (usually red or white, but sometimes black) and a flowy top like this one from rainbowshops.com (which by the way is only $7.99):
These jeggings are super stretchy so they're really comfortable and can be dressed up or down. If I want to dress these jeggings up I swap out the converse for a pair of black ankle booties like these ones from target:
