Hey everyone! I hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your summer! It has been crazy around here as school started and I got back into the groove of teaching. For those of you who don't know, this is my second year teaching second grade in eastern Oregon and I really love what I do. Although, I'll be the first to admit that TEACHING IS FREAKING HARD. Anyone who teaches or spends a lot of time with kids could probably agree that, while it's very difficult at times, it's an extremely rewarding experience. Every day I'm working hard to find new ways to have FUN while learning difficult content. I have so many things that I do in my classroom that I absolutely LOVE. Specifically, I have different methods for encouraging students to be successful, including getting to ring a bell, I use Seesaw a LOT because it's an app that allows students to express their creativity while demonstrating their knowledge, I also have different games that we play, such as using a comprehension beach ball to answer questions about the text, I could go on and on. And maybe I will make separate posts about a few of those tips and tricks. I hope you enjoyed this little update. I really wanted to just let you know what's going on and why I've been absent. As I've mentioned before, I can't guarantee regular posts, but I will do my best to update you all once in a while to let you know what's going on in my life. What I Got for Christmas 2k16

Guys. Wow I cannot BELIEVE it's 2017 already!!! Where has the time gone? Since you haven't heard from me for a while, here's a short update. I am still doing my student teaching this year and I have been loving every minute of it! I have also learned a lot about myself. I've been more accepting of myself and caring less about what people think of me. Because at the end of the day, if you like yourself that's all that matters. So yeah that's pretty much where my life is at.

Now onto the stuff you really care about: What I got for Christmas.
As always, I am in no way trying to brag. I am very grateful for the things I have and am even more grateful for the gifts I was able to give this year. But okay so here's what I got this year:

1. A down comforter
2. A new makeup organizer (you best believe I will be posting pics)
3. A shaker and other tools for my bar cart (I'll post pics of the cart when it's all finished)
4. A coloring book calendar
5. A drink dispenser that looks like a globe
6. A wine glass holder
7. A keurig
8. Birkenstocks (hello, I live in Oregon)
9. A new hydroflask
10. Money
11. Bath bombs
12. A starbucks travel mug (you can draw on it! So cool!)
13. And some other miscellaneous stuff.

As far as future posts go, I am going to really try to post more regularly but my life gets pretty hectic sometimes. I really do appreciate all of you who still read this though. This Is My Obsession

Hey fam! Wow two posts in one week...stepping up my game. Anyways, I wanted to talk to you guys about some of my newest obsessions.

1. High waisted swimsuit bottoms- Being plus size, I don't often wear bikinis because I don't feel confident in them, but I recently got some high waisted bottoms from Forever 21+ and they fit me sooo well. The exact ones that I got are not available online anymore, but they do have some other really cute ones! 
2. Going to concerts- Concerts are always fun and something I like to do during the summer, especially country concerts because that's my fave.
3. Tie-dye- I've recently been OBSESSED with the look of a tie-dye tank with some cutoff shorts and converse or sandals.
4. Rimmel Stay Matte Primer- This stuff is life. It keeps your foundation looking flawless for so long and prevents you from getting oily.
5. Home decor- If you check out my Pinterest you would see that I have been obsessed with decorating since I moved into my new apartment.

I'm sure I have some other new obsessions but that's about all I can think of for now. I'm going to the lake this weekend so I'm super excited about that. My classes that I am currently in end next week then I will have two weeks off before my student teaching starts. I hope you are all enjoying your summers, even though it has gone by way too fast.

Does anyone read this anymore?

Hi friends! Wow it has been a hot minute since I have posted on here. As a quick update, I have been taking 19 credits this summer, but get to spend 5 hours a day in a preschool so that makes it all worth it. I got my student teaching placement and will be in a 1st grade classroom starting in the fall. I got my hair cut a couple of months ago so that's new and weird and I kinda miss my long hair but also love my short hair. New products I've been loving: the Tarte tartelette 2 in bloom, trying out various liquid lipsticks (I really want to try the NYX lingerie liquid lipstick but my ulta is always out of the colors I want), still using the same foundation and mascara. I am obsessed with my Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow. I switch off between Benefit hula and NYX wonder stick for contour. Loving my brushes but really want more, although I have probably close to 70 so I probably don't need any more lol. I'm 22 now so that's fun. Annnnnd that's about all I can think of. I miss blogging so I'm going to try to be more frequent but I always say that and it never happens so we will see. Anyways, I hope you're all doing well and will hopefully post again soon!

Life Updates

Hello loves. You may be asking yourselves, "where has she been?". To put it simply, I suck at blogging and I'm sorry. I always say I'm going to get better about it then I forget and life gets in the way. I would like to blame it on school or the fact that I've been very sick for the past 2 months, but I did have time and I just neglected my blog entirely. That being said, I wanted to talk about something not so beauty related, which is what I've been doing throughout this past term. As you may or may not know, my goal for the future is to become a kindergarten teacher. To prepare myself for that and get some experience, I did a practicum (which is basically a fancy word for getting credits to volunteer in a classroom) in a kindergarten classroom. It was probably one of the best experiences of my life. I spent almost 100 hours with these kids throughout a 7-week period and it was awesome. So...yeah, that's what I've been up to. Please please PLEASE, let me know what you would like me to post about in the future and I'll talk to you later.
